Mandatory By-Law Templates

PMA is working alongside MNL to develop a set of bylaw samples with Stewart McKelvey for our membership to use. There are 6 mandatory bylaws outlined in the Towns and Local Service District Act.

In January, we released an Arrears Sales By-Law Template. Two additional templates have been finalized and can be found below:

In addition to the mandatory bylaws required by the TLSDA,  we will be developing a set of additional bylaws based on member feedback.

Upcoming PMA Regional Meetings

Registration for 2026 PMA Regional Meetings is Officially Open! Dates, locations, training topics, and costs can be found below. 

As noted in previous communications, PMA Regional Meetings are set to take place at the following dates and locations. Click the region to complete registration.

EASTERN: Tuesday, May 26th at the Clarenville Inn, 134 Trans-Canada Hwy, Clarenville, NL.
CENTRAL: Thursday, May 28th at the Quality Hotel, 102 Trans-Canada Hwy, Gander, NL.
WESTERN: Tuesday, June 2nd at the Horizon Hotel, 38 Bennett Avenue, Deer Lake, NL.
AVALON: Thursday, June 4th at the St. Thomas Community Centre, Paradise, NL.

PMA’s Regional Meetings are 1-day (9am – 4pm) training sessions taking place in each member region. This year, we did a 2-day joint session with MNL for our Labrador Region.

During each of the upcoming Regional Meetings, guest speakers will lead three training sessions. The topics set to be covered include the Accommodations Tax, Navigating the Municipal Support Information System (MSIS), and a Emergency Planning. We will conclude each day with a Regional Membership Meeting. Finalized agendas will be released in the coming days. Session topis are subject to change.

The registration fee is $95+HST ($109.25). The deadline to register, or cancel your registration, is outlined in the form.
