May 9 2025: PMA is Seeking Proposals for Phase One of Municipal Training Project

Following PMA’s recent announcement pertaining to funding received from the Department of Jobs, Immigration and Growth for the development of new training programs for municipal administrators, we are officially seeking proposals from experts within the sector to complete the Research and Analysis Phase of the project.

The roles of Town Clerks, Town Managers and other municipal administrators in our province has evolved considerably in recent years, moving beyond traditional administrative duties to include an array of responsibilities and legislative requirements. It is important to our organization that we have training programs to offer administrators that adequately reflect the complexity of their jobs, and that provides them the tools they need to feel confident in their abilities to perform their duties effectively.

The chosen applicant for this project will complete all activities as outlined for Phase One of this three-phase project, which encompasses all preliminary research and recommendations for training programs specifically tailored to the needs of municipal administrators in Newfoundland and Labrador. The goal is to develop both onboarding and continuous learning training streams.

The RPF, in which outlines the project goals, deliverables and timeline can be accessed here. Interested individuals/groups must submit all required materials before June 6th, 2025.
