Registration is officially OPEN for PMA CORE School!
Our CORE Modules are an excellent opportunity for new administrators to access knowledge vital to succeeding in their roles. The CORE program focuses on the practical requirements of working in local governance, and functions to keep our members informed and feeling confident in their professional abilities. Even for seasoned administrators, completion of the CORE program is a great professional development opportunity. Administrators that complete all 5 modules will be awarded with a certificate during our Annual Convention!
PMA’s goal is to balance member training needs with both in-person and virtual training opportunities. The ability to provide both in-person and online training is part of the barrier reduction & accessibility goals for PMA’s training offerings. Our Spring training was delivered remotely, so this Fall we are hosting all modules in-person.
All five CORE School modules will take place at 1 Magee Road (CNA campus, Room 201) in Gander, NL. The schedule is as follows:
MODULE 1 Roles/ Responsibilities/Relationships October 21, 9am – 5pm
MODULE 2 Municipal Office Administration October 22, 9am – 5pm
MODULE 3 Cash Handling/Budgeting/Financial Evaluations October 23, 9am – 5pm
MODULE 4 Municipal Accounting October 24, 9am – 5pm
MODULE 5 Municipal Planning October 25, 9am – 5pm
